Up-to-date traffic information, congestion reports and alternative route suggestions can be called up at the press of a button, plus information about hotels, restaurants and other useful addresses. These can be entered directly into the navigation system. Its automatic emergency call feature and breakdown assistance request, including vehicle location data, enhances your safety.

BMW Online.

BMW Online is an Internet-based feature, offering individually tailored information services including news and business updates. Access useful travel information directly from your BMW: from the locations of available parking spaces to the address of the nearest cinema or chemist. With its address book feature and e-mail function, BMW Online transforms your BMW M5 Touring into a mobile office.

BMW TeleServices.

Completing the service concept for the BMW M5 Touring are BMW TeleServices. Even before your next service appointment is due, BMW TeleServices communicate electronically up-to-date data on the vehicle’s condition directly to your BMW Service Centre either manually or automatically. This enables him to prepare for your forthcoming service visit and to call you to arrange a convenient appointment time. Requires the optional BMW Professional navigation system with an integrated Bluetooth mobile telephone interface.

The Professional navigation system provides extra convenience by allowing you to specify your destination by voice - and also to select the major iDrive functions acoustically.

Telephone systems in the BMW M5 Touring.

Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones register themselves with the car via the optional port as soon as you approach the vehicle. All of your telephone numbers, addresses and call lists are then automatically synchronised with the vehicle’s internal system. You can then operate your phone while driving using the multifunction steering wheel and the hands-free system. Your BMW dealer will gladly advise you about the mobile phones for which the Bluetooth port has been optimised.

BMW Individual High End Audio System.

The BMW Individual High End Audio System achieves a first-class listening experience for the interior of a vehicle. Signal processing is precisely tuned to the three-dimensional space, and DIRAC technology together with speed-dependent equalizing reduces unwanted ambient noise to a minimum. In addition, 16 high-performance speakers generate an impressive sound stage for the occupants. The result is sheer listening pleasure.
